I began practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2010. It is through this daily practice that I discovered the heart and soul of the Yoga practice which is going inward and connecting to the source of truth that makes navigating life smoother with each passing day. Initially what started as a physical release became a much deeper delve into spirituality forever changing the way I interact with life. Finding more patience, love, happiness, and understanding along with incredible strength and an overall feeling of good health I knew this was a practice I wanted to share with the world.

As a teacher I'm supportive and encouraging and have the ability to see what work needs to be prioritized in the body in order to make effective progress. I try to maintain a sense of lightness and fun so practice is something you enjoy and want to show up for. My daily practice teaches me so much but I have also been so fortunate to have studied with some of the best teachers in the world that have been involved in this practice for 15-40 years and have shared a wealth of knowledge with me. The most influential teachers on my Ashtanga journey are Jorgen Christiansson and Maria Villella.

Connecting with my body in this way has sparked an interest in many other kinds of movement as well. I practice partner acrobatics, rock climb, and slackline. I love finding my real or misperceived limits and finding ways to move past them. To balance that I find it important to eat nourishing foods and spend time in nature to stay connected and sustain the energy to do everything I love to do in life! Everything is a practice. Some days are better than others, but as you keep going you realize all the days are worthwhile.
